‘Twas the Night Before Christmassy Brunch Show

Kids, bring your parents to a special Christmas Brunch! We’re performing a “’Twas the Night Before Christmassy Brunch Show,”and we need your help!

Be a part of the festivities and hi-jinks at St. Charles’ own RT Weilers Restaurant!

Here at Monkey Tales Theatre, we have one Christmas Wish this year – to make you laugh and fill your bellies! We’ll hang our stockings, fill your heads with dancing sugar-plums and take you through a magical – and humorous – story about Jolly Ol’ St. Nick.

Right on Main Street in Historic St. Charles, Rt Weilers is in the middle of the our one-of-a-kind Christmas Traditions festival. Before you venture off to spend the day on Main Street and see the parade, get your energy for the day at our Monkey Tales Brunch Show!

Free street and parking lot parking is available.

This event is a special fundraiser for Monkey Tales Theatre, a professional non-profit 501(c)(3) theatre group entertaining young children through live stage performances, to support its continued efforts to produce quality children’s theatre which is entertaining andteaches valuable lessons on acceptance and responsibility.

Now Offering Creative Dramatics Classes!

Proposal: Monkey Tales Provides one 30 minute class per week for six weeks for children. These sessions are during daytime hours at your location. Each child will receive a Monkey Tales Theatre t-shirt. A final performance will be in the evening at your location to showcase learned skills for friends and families.
There is no cost to you or your facility. Your facility  will actually receive $5 for each participating student. Your staff will be provided with fliers to hand out to all students, who will then have one week to sign up and pay for participation. Monkey Tales will coordinate with your staff in order to best schedule the weekly half-hour classes. The final performance will take place at your facility on the night of the final class.
What is Creative Dramatics? Creative Dramatics is structured, goal-oriented playing. Through Creative Dramatics, the students will explore their imaginations, learn how to communicate ideas, use their bodies and voices to convey emotion and learn how to feel comfortable with themselves. The emphasis is on creation, not just performance, as the students participate in exercises that celebrate their individuality while also making them aware they are part of a group. These games/exercises go beyond the theatrical to nurture skills and attitudes that are useful in every aspect of learning and life.
