Now Offering Creative Dramatics Classes!

Proposal: Monkey Tales Provides one 30 minute class per week for six weeks for children. These sessions are during daytime hours at your location. Each child will receive a Monkey Tales Theatre t-shirt. A final performance will be in the evening at your location to showcase learned skills for friends and families.

There is no cost to you or your facility. Your facility  will actually receive $5 for each participating student. Your staff will be provided with fliers to hand out to all students, who will then have one week to sign up and pay for participation. Monkey Tales will coordinate with your staff in order to best schedule the weekly half-hour classes. The final performance will take place at your facility on the night of the final class.

What is Creative Dramatics? Creative Dramatics is structured, goal-oriented playing. Through Creative Dramatics, the students will explore their imaginations, learn how to communicate ideas, use their bodies and voices to convey emotion and learn how to feel comfortable with themselves. The emphasis is on creation, not just performance, as the students participate in exercises that celebrate their individuality while also making them aware they are part of a group. These games/exercises go beyond the theatrical to nurture skills and attitudes that are useful in every aspect of learning and life.
